UPR 299
european bulletin of himalayan research

The European Bulletin of Himalayan Research is a six-monthly review created in 1991 by Richard Burghart. It is published alternately by the South Asia Institute at the University of Heidelberg, the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in London and the CNRS. Over a period of three years (nos. 29-34) starting from December 2005 , the EBHR will be published by several researchers at the CNRS: Pascale Dollfus, Philippe Ramirez, Boyd Michailovsky, Blandine Ripert, Anne de Sales.

The EBHR publishes articles in all fields of human science, in particular in geography, anthropology, sociology and history. The geographic area extends from Karakorum to North-East India, without for all that excluding contributions, from the periphery, likely to throw particular light on the Himalaya strictly speaking. In addition to the articles themselves there are reading reviews and classified ads on scientific activity in the Himalayan field. Manuscrits are submitted to specialised team leaders for each discipline.

Older issues are available free on Digital Himalaya.
