The impact of global warming on water resources and human activities in the Dudh Koshi river basin (Everest region, Nepal)
Project coordinator : Isabelle Sacareau (Université Bordeaux Montaigne)
This pluridisciplinary research project (geography, hydrology, glaciology, climatology) sets out to compare climate data (melting of snow and glaciers, precipitation variability) with the discourses, uses and water resource management of the local population who have growing needs (domestic consumption, new irrigated cultures, micro-hydrolectricity development projects) on a territory henceforth governed by the tourist economy.
