At the end of 2017 the Centre for Himalayan Studies’s library received the CollEx label which distinguishes our holdings as a "collection of excellence for research" at national level.
This label has been awarded for a period of five years (2018-2022) and can be renewed by the "CollEx-Persée" Conseil scientifique du Groupement d’intérêt scientifique (Scientific Council of the Scientific Interest Group).
CollEx-Persée is a project that aims at facilitating access to documents needed for research, regardless of their form, throughout France’s territory.
Thanks to this label our collections will be promoted by the CollEx-Persée network and will be included in the cartography of "collections of excellence for research" that will soon be posted online on the GIS CollEx-Persée portal.
By 2020, CEH’s holdings will have joined the Condorcet campus library which is to be dedicated to research in the Humanities and Social Sciences.
